"Shadow of a Wheel" Documentary WINS Emmy!
Asheville, NC — 2.21.25 — The acclaimed documentary Shadow of a Wheel has been honored with winning a Regional Emmy in the Historical Documentary category at the 39th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards ceremony, held on Saturday, February 15, in Nashville, TN. The awards were presented by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition,” said Director Paul Bonesteel. “I’m especially proud of how many of the original 36 riders participated in the film as storytellers with their words and photos paying tribute to what the experience meant then and now.”
“One of our hopes for the film was that would have meaning to today’s teenagers, and their parents, to encourage risk-taking, growth, and community service.” This was the focus of Bonesteel’s acceptance speechand can be seen here https://vimeo.com/1059054046?share=copy
